Dr. Abhishek Mitra is an experienced Gastrointestinal and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Cancer Surgeon with over 20 years of experience in the surgical management of complex gastrointestinal cancers. He holds MBBS, MS and MCh qualifications and has completed post-doctoral fellowship training in GI and HPB Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He has also trained at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi.
His areas of expertise include the surgical treatment of cancers affecting the oesophagus, stomach, pancreas, gallbladder, liver, bile ducts, colon and rectum. He focuses on evaluating each patient's condition carefully and developing an individualised treatment plan based on the type, stage and extent of the disease.
